Senior Compliance Specialist

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing regulatory compliance support and guidance to our client’s retail operations team and easy to reference regulatory guides to support compliance needs.

Essential Functions

• Learn and stay up-to- date with cannabis regulations for designated jurisdictions
• Learn and stay up-to- date with cannabis and cannabis products available to customers and patients for designated jurisdictions
• Collaborate with designated departments to implement compliant processes
• Work with designated departments to create standard operating procedures to support compliant process implementation
• Provide real-time compliance support to retail staff and the operations department
• Create and deliver compliance training
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance
• Work with IT or independently to develop and enhance compliance systems

Required Education and Experience
1. 3 to 5 years of operations / operational support experience
2. Prior management experience
3. High degree of proficiency in MS Excel and PPT

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
1. Cannabis regulation and/or product knowledge is a plus
2. Prior experience working with IT on system implementations a plus
3. Ability to draft succinct memos, business correspondences and procedures is a plus
4. Prior experience working in an executive level customer support role is a plus
