SECURITY SUPERVISOR
Description
Oversee the development and management of a professional security program for a multi-unit, high-volume cannabis dispensary operation, assure compliance with city and state regulations, manage best practices is asset protection, loss prevention, customer service and program deployment.
Responsibilities
- Recruit and train security guards
- Provide continuing education to guards and employees
- Coordinate guard scheduling to provide optimal coverage at retail stores
- Inspect facilities for integrity and risk exposure
- Implement anti-shoplifting programs
- Audit internal controls for loopholes and exposure
- Manage security activities within frequently-changing state and city regulations
- Ensure that retail stores are prepared for any robbery, system failure or medical emergency
- Maintain a relationship with local police and fire operations as well as neighboring businesses and residents
- Monitor daily retail activities for violations and correct before they become reportable
- Accompany Inventory Manager on field inspections
- Confirm that vendors are compliant with licensing obligations
- Affirm that product receiving practices are safe and secure
- Generally, create a sustain a climate of industry-leading security and facility integrity
Requirements
- Previous security experience in a retail cannabis environment
- Previous security experience in retail, hospitality or lodging in a junior or senior management role
- California guard card
- Background check (after offer of employment made)
- Certificates in first aid, CPR and other lifesaving techniques
- Must be 21 per state law
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Above average written and computer skills
- Flexible schedule including nights and weekend availability
Compensation and benefits
- Hourly wage commensurate with experience
- Bonus program paid quarterly if specific targets met
