Deibel Labs is a Food Testing Laboratory in Santa Cruz, California and is seeking an entry-level Chemistry/Microbiology technician for a full-time position (40 hours/week and benefits included). Shift Open:
Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:30PM
Must be comfortable working with and around cannabis products. All employment offers will be contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
Responsibilities
- Reagent login, makeup, storage, and disposal - Chemistry Proximate testing which will include liquid-liquid extractions, dilutions, titrations, proper balance use and stoichiometry
- Sample preparation, data analysis and paperwork for various instrumental methods used for nutritional determinations: GC-FID, GC-ECD, GC-MS/MS, ICP-OES and HPLC
- General laboratory maintenance and house keeping
Qualifications
Education, Experience and Attributes
- Preferably a BS or BA in Chemistry and/or Microbiology with a preferred analytical background or equivalent experience.
- Previous laboratory experience in nutritional testing is a plus: Protein, Salt, Fat, Fatty Acids, Sugars, etc. (please include relevant classes and coursework on resume)
- Critical thinker with good math and organizational skills
- Self motivated and hard working
- 0-1 Years Experience
-Must have Good Documentation Practices for maintaining laboratory notebook
-Must work occasional holidays
-Must be willing to have a flexible schedule for days that require overtime
-Must live within 25 miles of Santa Cruz, California. No relocation packages available.
