Sanitation Technician
Job Description
The responsibilities of the Sanitary Technician within Garden Remedies broadly embrace the key areas described below. Working with the Cultivation Managers and the Assistant Growers, the Sanitary Technician will assist in the day-to-day cleaning operations of all areas cultivation and grounds. GRI's goal is to grow consistent, high-quality medical marijuana while remaining fully consistent with Garden Remedies’ Standard Operating Procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize cleaning agents and sanitation tools to sanitize processing lines and equipment.
- Measure and mix correct amounts of cleaning solution
- Maintain communication with other departments, and managements.
- Inspect equipment and work areas to ensure they have been cleaned in accordance with Company requirements.
- Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals
- Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively in order to maintain high levels of safety, Quality and efficiency
- Must be able to handle heights
- Comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety and quality assurance practices
- Maintain proper documentation in all formats of record keeping
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to engage in creating an amicable work-place.
- Good personal hygiene, physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor.
- The candidate must pass the state required background check and will have a high security clearance within the company.
Supervision:
- Works under the general supervision of the Cultivation managers
- This position is not responsible for supervising other employees
REQUIRED SKILLS
- At least 21 years of age
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must not have been convicted of any felony offense
- Medical marijuana and recreational marijuana knowledge highly desirable
- Experience in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Ability to genuinely and respectfully connect with coworkers
- Desire to learn more about cannabis
- Organization and planning skills
- Team-building skills
- Ability to pass all required background checks to work with cannabis
- Ability to work a set schedule
