Consulting Company in Long Beach is looking to hire a sales professional with extensive experience in commission-based sales environments, with an emphasis on closing ratios. Our company is a forward-thinking consulting firm with an emphasis on licensing and compliance. We want to bridge government and the cannabis industry to support a thriving legal cannabis market in California and beyond. Our company has a vision for cannabis in California and is assisting businesses in getting licensed and complying with the new regulations. We are seeking a qualified, organized, outgoing, self-motivated sales candidate to fill our cannabis industry sales professional position. This position will reach out to prospects, find new ways to generate leads, have a systematic approach to sales and the ability to close deals and provide excellent follow through. The ideal candidate for this position will be a natural sales person with exceptional skills in getting service contracts signed. Familiarity with the new cannabis regulations and professional experience in the cannabis industry is a plus. Handling high volume sales appointments, along with writing clear and well thought our business communications and managing projects under tight deadlines, are important core competencies.

Description:

  • Perfect opportunity for candidates with sales DNA and vast experience closing in-person appointments.
  • Prospecting and connecting with sales leads via email, phone and in-person appointments.
  • Field work, such as assessing potential site locations or evaluating a facility, may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong, natural sales ability REQUIRED.
  • Sales experience with emphasis closing deals REQUIRED.
  • Ability to work well with a team of people and close sales.
  • Superior writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be highly organized, self-directed and detail oriented.
  • Comfort level with tracking sales opportunities and following up on leads with a systematic approach.
  • Confidence and knowledge about sales process and best practices.
  • Strong focus and ability to function well under tight deadlines.
  • Professional experience in the cannabis industry preferred, but we will train.
  • Knowledge of current commercial cannabis regulations in California a PLUS.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Google Suite skills.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license are mandatory. A background and driver's license check will be performed.
