Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Sales Representative is responsible for managing and executing the day-to-day activities & functions in accordance with the State and standards set by the company. This includes establish and maintain dispensary customer relationships and managing the sales of the company’s products within the defined geographic area; ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues, execute objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.

In addition, the Sales Representative will promote & grow the participation in the company’s value-added services such as merchandising, internet & social media content, e-commerce platform, marketing programs, promotions, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4-year degree in marketing or business studies is preferred, or a minimum of three years of related experience in applicable industries or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
  • Experience in implementing marketing and sales strategies, with enterprise software solutions.
  • Strong leadership qualities with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Self-motivated with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel and possession of a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
  • Ability to understand and evaluate inventory levels vs. sales projections.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and an attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of state and local cannabis laws and how they apply to the operations is preferred.
  • Effective time management and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based software and point-of-sale (POS) applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Activities
  • Manages an assigned geographic sales area to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
  • Performs sales activities on accounts and individual retailers, negotiate promotional/marketing/merchanding activity and incentives in consultation with the Market Manager.
  • Accurately forecasts quarterly, and monthly revenue streams with key accounts.
  • Implement short- and long-term effects on sales strategies.
  • Implement specific plans to ensure revenue growth of all company products.
  • Train customers’ budtenders in the benefits of the company’s products.
  • Review customer sales history, forecast product sales & required inventory to achieve forecast.
  • Direct customer sales ordering through the company’s e-commerce portal
  • Generate and qualify leads
  • Source and develop client referrals
  • Prepare sales action plans and strategies
  • Schedule sales activity
  • Develop and maintain a customer database with company’s operating system
  • Present company products and services to current and potential clients
  • Negotiate with clients and close sales
  • Maintain sales activity records and prepare sales reports
  • Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person
  • Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships
  • Participate in sales events, conferences & trade shows
  • Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development & report to Market Manager.
  • Collaboration with Management
  • Reports directly to Market Manager on sales and marketing issues and activity.
  • Provides monthly results vs goals assessments of personal activity.
  • Provides monthly inventory report for key customers.
  • Collaborates with Management Team to develop sales strategies to improve market share.
  • Collaborates with Management Team to establish and control budgets for sales promotion and incentives.
