EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (This may not include all duties assigned)

Lead Generation and Sales

  • Build rapport through regular onsite visits with customers and personalized product recommendations
  • Leverage a variety of online and offline resources to identify prospective customers
  • Analyze customers’ purchase histories to identify opportunities for product sales and training
  • Continually brainstorm, create, and execute lead-generation and sales campaigns in coordination with other Sales Team members
  • Regularly create, improve, or share tools that support the Sales Team, such as sales strategies, marketing tips, and best practices

Customer Service and Order Processing

  • Conduct outbound sales by contacting potential and existing customers, especially by phone
  • Conduct inbound sales by providing outstanding customer service to existing accounts
  • Answer incoming calls in a prompt, professional, and prepared way
  • Process phone orders and identify natural upsell opportunities
  • Help troubleshoot web orders, late deliveries, and order-processing challenges
  • Ensure customers receive purchase-related information, such as estimated delivery schedules and return policies
  • Be knowledgeable about product catalog, prices, and availability
  • Relay product-related customer feedback to management team
  • Ensure that all orders are processed in accordance with METRC guidelines

Industry and Product Knowledge

  • Pursue continuing education about market conditions, customer trends, basic regulations, and industry developments, through sales- or trade-related events, vendor or manufacturer meetings, conferences, and publications
  • Stay current with trending products, brands, vendors, and competitors
  • Study scientific- and technical-product documentation to understand functionality
  • Have direct experience with or know the fundamentals of extraction methods such as BHO, CO2, live resin, terp sauce, etc.

Event Support

  • Staff company installations at events and assist with physical tasks like setting up and taking down booth
  • Manage all aspects of event-related planning, including travel, samples, inventory, promotions, documentation, and occasional orders

Collaboration

  • Keep office area tidy to maintain a functional work environment
  • Work with team members to develop, learn, and implement new systems

Technology and Other Requirements

  • Computer: Highly functional on a modern, PC computer.
  • Microsoft Office: Proficient in Word, Excel, 2010 or newer
  • Typing: 50 WPM or faster
  • Google Apps: Proficiency with G Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Drive), and security and sharing knowledge. Able to manage multiple Google Apps email accounts
  • Adobe Acrobat: Print as PDF, troubleshoot quality issues
  • Functionally proficient with CRM software
  • Printing: Familiar with network printing, scanning and sending documents, driver installation, and troubleshooting
  • Smart phone: Must be smartphone fluent
  • Internet Research: Must be HIGHLY internet savvy
  • Culture match: Support the mission and spirit of the organization and be comfortable with cannabis products in the facility

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High-school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years of cannabis sales experience, knowledge and previous experience with concentrates is highly desirable
  • 5 years of sales or customer service experience required
  • Working knowledge of computer programs as described
  • Must be at least 21 years old and pass a criminal background check

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

  • Current, valid driver’s license; clean driving record; valid insurance; reliable vehicle. Eligible for mileage reimbursement for company travel in personal vehicle
  • Valid OLCC Worker Permit

BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION:

  • 1099 Employment
  • 10% Straight Commission on Sales, paid bi-weekly with additional generous incentives Possible
  • Per mile travel reimbursement

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work may require prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing. Requires close vision with the ability to see color and adjust focus. Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly using smart lifting techniques.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is high energy, fast paced, and due to the nature of the current regulatory landscape, is often highly stressful. Position requires regular availability to work Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm with a 30-minute paid meal break for shifts of 6 or more hours; occasional nights, weekends, holidays, and events. May require up to 50% travel.
