Job Description:

Mac & Fulton Talent Partners is looking for an ambitions Sales Executive to help develop customer accounts and drive business for an industry leading cultivation technology company. Our client is well-established in the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) space, with a number of highly successful products in cultivation hardware & software, smart grow technology, fertigation systems, and horticultural software solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong presence in the cannabis and controlled environment agriculture industries with a focus on commercial greenhouse growers.
  • Apply and explain a technical understanding of cultivation processes to prospective customers.
  • Act as a link between market needs – related to existing and future products – and the internal sales and marketing teams.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to establish market plans relating to specific product launches and seasonal horticulture demands.
  • Position customized products and subsequent communication for target audiences in commercial cannabis cultivation, focusing on greenhouse operations
  • Sell consultatively, establishing a customer need relating to solution-based product lines.
  • Gain an expert understanding of company cultivation hardware, smart grow technology, and horticultural software solutions.
  • Explain benefits, both of and short term, of product lines.
  • Remain up-to-speed on horticultural technology advancements.
  • Consistently meet sales goals and utilize CRM software.
  • Maintain a highly organized and easy to communicate workflow.

Qualifications:

  • BA in Business or Horticulture (or like field) preferred.
  • Ability to travel, sometimes frequently (50-60%)
  • Cannabis cultivation experience (home-based or commercial).
  • 2-3 yrs. of consultative sales experience in the cannabis industry
  • Sales in horticulture/hydroponics industry is greatly preferred
  • Understanding of current cannabis / CEA marketplaces in the U.S. and beyond
  • Well versed in product development and new market entry.
