Position: Sales Manager

Job Summary
We are a leading consumer products company in the cannabidiol (CBD) industry. As a key member of the sales team, the Sales Manager will report to the VP of Sales. The Sales Manager will be responsible for national retailer revenue performance and will provide leadership and coordination for account generation, sales operations, sell-in, and sell-through along with participating in driving the profitability of the company. The ideal Sales Manager will have retailer connections in the following industries: sports or health wellness, cannabis, natural foods, natural supplements and packaged goods.
Essential Job Functions
- Achieve monthly revenue quota in a defined territory
- Contract and develop reps, brokers and other sales partners
- Oversee communication from territory to company
- Manage existing sales territory, including, but not limited to prospecting for new accounts, maintaining relationships and revenue streams at current accounts
- Growing current accounts through the solicitation of new and existing product lines
- Coordinating both orders and deliveries
- Attend trade and in-store / in-field events
- Complete, update and maintain company reports, information, and CRM system
- Manage image, brand and reputation of the company to industry
- Mentor, train and develop sales team
- Conduct yourself with the utmost professionalism, with ethical behavior and always with conduct becoming to the company
- Must perform other duties as upper management deems critical to the success of the Sales Manager role
Experience and Education
- Minimum of 3+ years in progressively responsible sales leadership roles, preferably in cannabis, food and beverage, or CPG industries
- Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate and manage at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations
- Strong problem solving and creative skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
- High levels of integrity and dependability
- Results-oriented while maintaining a strong sense of urgency
