Position Description:
Wana Brands is an infused marijuana products manufacturer. This position helps to promote Wana Brands by managing the CO sales team, developing and executing sales support strategies for out of state partners, meeting quarterly goals, and providing guidance and training to teams. You must be a current resident of CO and have a MED Badge. Previous cannabis industry experience and sales management experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

Colorado:

  • Direct and coordinate activities involving sales of infused cannabis products
  • Manage sales team and sales staff, including retail specialist and sales support staff
  • Set sales goals and conduct quarterly reviews to determine bonuses for each sales team member
  • Manage sales activity
  • Manage day to day decisions of the sales team and be the go to for the sales team to brainstorm and problem solve
  • Utilize business analytics software to communicate or present information for business strategy decision making, and monitoring sales goals
  • Assist sales team in cultivating high level relationships (owners and other key people) in dispensaries
  • Provide sales training to the team on an individual and group level
  • Facilitate weekly sales team meetings and biannual sales summit meetings
  • Liaison for sales team with other areas in the company around operational issues
  • Work with production areas to problem solve and expedite issues
  • Resolve escalated customer complaints regarding sales and service

Out of State:

  • Develop out of state sales support strategy in conjunction with Out of State team and owner
  • Hire and manage out of state sales support resources
  • Provide sales leadership with partners to improve sales results
  • Assist in setting sales targets
  • Monitor sales results
  • Work with Out of State marketing team and partners to ensure that Out of State sales has needed sales collateral and sales tools.
  • Travel to partners’ locations to conduct training and provide consultation

Job Requirements:

  • Passion for Wana Brands and knowledge of the industry
  • Strong ability to model and train teams on consultative selling methods.
  • Persuasive sales ability, including ability to effectively position Wana products against competitors
  • Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with internal and external partners, maintaining them over time.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has overall supervisory responsibility for the Sales Team, Retail Specialist and Sales Support.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This position regularly works normal business hours, Monday – Friday, 8:30a-5:00p. Some weekend and night work will be expected.

Travel includes both local and out-of-the-area travel with some overnight travel expected. Travel is up to 35% of work time.

Required Education and Experience

  • Sales management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master’s Degree or MBA
  • Channel marketing experience preferred
  • Previous cannabis industry experience preferred

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

This position requires a current MED Badge.
