Job title: Sales and Marketing Representative

SUMMARY
We are one of the fastest-growing cannabis companies in Washington and we’re looking for a motivated and driven Sales and Marketing Representative to join our team to market our products. The Sales and Marketing Representative will be responsible for prospecting and closing new business via cold-calling, in-store visits and presentations, as well as participation in industry trade shows and networking events.
You will be representing a wide array of brands with a very robust, and growing product line. You will work directly with the owner helping give feedback on products and promotional ideas.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prospect new accounts using WeedMaps, Leafly, social media, and other online tools
- Set up meetings with dispensary purchasing managers via cold-calling, email, and social media outreach
- Visit dispensaries on a daily basis to drop off samples, understand customer pain points and desires, enhance merchandising and make sales presentations
- Use a customer-focused, consultative sales process to educate prospects on what products will best fit their needs
- Follow-up with prospective accounts via phone, email and SMS to stay top of mind and close new business
- Collaborate with the owner for new marketing and product ideas.
- Respond to phone and e-mail inquiries in a timely, efficient and professional manner
- Maintain expert-level knowledge on our full product catalog as well as the latest trends in the cannabis industry
- Participate in on-site patient appreciation days, budtender education events, hosted company parties, networking mixers, -and other events on an as-needed basis

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum one year sales experience required
- Prior experience in the marijuana industry strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree a plus
- Proven track record of developing a strategic sales strategy, building new business, and meeting/exceeding quotas
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Must have a valid Washington driver’s license
- Must have a reliable vehicle, insurance, and a clean driving and criminal record (this position will require extensive travel)
- Proven ability to work effectively independently
- Proficient technical skills including use of MS Office, Google Drive, and CRM software
- Ability to travel locally 30-50%+
