Retail Store Designer

Have A Heart CC is a rapidly growing cannabis company in the Seattle metropolitan area. We're growing quickly and are seeking a talented Retail Store Designer to join us on our journey!

This role requires a thorough understanding of, and passion for, visual and architectural design that stands out from the competition. The primary objective of the retail store designer is to develop state of the art design solutions that support and enhance the customer experience.

Your foundation will be deeply rooted in understanding retail store principles, project designs and why/how they support the operating model. Your main tasks will be preparing floor plans and designing details that bring the vision to life while working with the budget, code and jurisdictional requirements.

Key Objectives

• Design state of the art floor schematic plans for new locations. This is to include all floor, electrical and lighting plans.

• Design the interior including specifications of furniture, cases and finish materials for each project detailed out in a plan.

• Prepare presentation level drawings and 3D renderings.

• Maintain an organized storage of all plan designs

• Possible travel to project locations for 3D scans and site photos. Main office located in Fremont/Ballard area.

Qualifications

• Able to work independently in a corporate environment.

• Able to work with deadlines and be flexible to accommodate 24-48 hours notice of emergency builds

• Proven understanding of design problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills.

• Ability to deal with constant changes and evolve designs to support the business strategy.

• Hands on experience in construction is a plus.

• Proven understanding of baseline retail store planning principles, including ADA, building codes, fire life safety and floor area clearances.

• Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
