Temescal Wellness operates legal cannabis companies that seek to expand access to consistently high-quality cannabis products. General Summary:

The Retail Manager is responsible for the management and operation of a two retail dispensary facilities located in Hudson and Framingham, MA, pursuant to and in compliance with local and state laws and regulations, including 105 CMR 725 and 935 CMR 500.

Requirements shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
  • Prior to receipt of final certificates of registration from the MA Dept. of Public Health, assisting with final fit-out of facilities, including SOP refinement and participation in state inspections to achieve final certificates of registration.
  • Hiring, managing and supervising dispensary staff.
  • Ensuring “seed to sale” software is used in compliance with program regulations.
  • Start-up and on-going training/mentoring of dispensary staff.
  • Overseeing dispensary openings and closings and protecting dispensary assets by following Temescal Wellness operational policies and procedures.
  • Complying with program regulations as it relates to retail operations/dispensing, handling of all patient data and maintaining of patient database.
  • Dispensary and staff scheduling, retail sales analysis and reporting, managing to target margin and labor metrics.
  • Maintain well-stocked and beautifully merchandised dispensary.
  • Uphold all standards pertaining to dispensary cleanliness and Serv-Safe guidelines for infused products handling.
  • Maintain store security/building security and cash handling.
  • Initiate seamless customer service by making every effort to find a product for patients if items are not in stock.
  • Maintain employee morale by recognizing co-workers performance and service; inspire employees so that the team contributes to the productivity of the dispensary.
  • Assisting state and local governmental auditors and law enforcement with inventory, sales and compliance audits;
  • Comply with Temescal’s Massachusetts-specific and national policies and procedures related to confidentiality and non-disclosure;
  • Perform the following physical tasks:a. Stand and walk for extended periods of time;b. Bend, squat and stoop, twist and bend the neck and waist and reach above and below shoulder height to grasp objects;c. Bend and lift loads of up to one hundred (100) lbs; andd. Use hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation

Qualifications
  • Advanced and applied knowledge of high-volume retail sales best practices, especially the sale of consumable and health products
  • Ability to learn, operate and administer software relating to inventory control/electronic tracking and business operations (e.g., Greenbits, METRC)
  • Proven ability to create and implement management tools, e.g., plans and schedules, to ensure compliance with SOPs and consistency of product supply and quality
  • Ability to thrive and effectively manage time in a challenging start-up environment, e.g., leading and mentoring multiple reports, contributing to cash-flow forecasts and financial planning efforts, developing supply chains and supplier relations, adapting to regulatory changes
