Texas Vinyl Dispensary – Specialty Craft Store Round Rock, TX

Job Summary:

Responsible for the management of employees in the effective planning and implementation of all store processes, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and presentation. Position is approx 30-35 hours per week, includes every other Saturday.

To be a great fit for this role you should have a consistent work history and previous retail experience, experience as a manager or assistant manager a plus, but not required. A passion for customer service and team mentoring is also a plus.

General Manager Qualifications:

  • Previous management experience a plus
  • Must be self-motivated and possess the desire for self-development
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Friendly personality and ability to create rapport with customers and employees
  • Knowledge of current retail industry trends
  • Ability to multitask and delegate
  • Powerful leading skills and organization with strong attention to detail
  • Must enjoy crafting and have a creative side; knowledge of Silhouette or Cricut products a HUGE plus

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Represent the store in a professional and positive manner
  • Ensure all employees are fulfilling their job responsibilities and that store policies and procedures are followed by providing leadership and direction
  • Assist in the development and modification of procedures and policies to cut costs and increase profits
  • Ensure quality customer service and resolve customer complaints
  • Develop relationships and place orders with suppliers
  • Manage scheduling that maximizes staffing to most effectively meet the needs of the store and drive store profitability
  • Help protect the store from theft by being aware of possible theft situations and eliminating them
  • Assist owner in the planning and execution of floor displays and encouraging collaboration of ideas among team members
  • Ensure all employee or customer conflicts are documented
  • Collaborate with owner and marketing coordinator on store promotions and events and apply marketing strategies
  • Arrange and implement initial and ongoing employee training
  • Reprimand and terminate employees when necessary
  • Communicate with owner and carry out their vision and philosophy in the operation
