DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and present scientific information regarding certification regulations, policies and procedures
  • Develop in-depth guidance and clear directions for meeting certification requirements specific to cannabis based products
  • Prepare regulatory and compliance documents for the purpose of ensuring compliance with standards and requirements
  • Promote understanding and compliance with regulations by utilizing information contained in state regulatory manuals and enforcement policy documents to respond accurately to certification requirements
  • Work product will be executed via email, telephone, and formal written correspondence
  • Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Requires Bachelors’ Degree in horticulture, agricultural or environmental science, public health or food nutrition, food safety or related field or 5 years equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
  • Advanced verbal and written English language skills, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices
  • Knowledge of cannabis product standards
  • Experience with packaging and labeling laws
  • Experience working with public health regulations
  • Requires valid passport as travelling will be a component of the position
  • Ability to work with team members from a remote office
