DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and present scientific information regarding certification regulations, policies and procedures
- Develop in-depth guidance and clear directions for meeting certification requirements specific to cannabis based products
- Prepare regulatory and compliance documents for the purpose of ensuring compliance with standards and requirements
- Promote understanding and compliance with regulations by utilizing information contained in state regulatory manuals and enforcement policy documents to respond accurately to certification requirements
- Work product will be executed via email, telephone, and formal written correspondence
- Perform other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Requires Bachelors’ Degree in horticulture, agricultural or environmental science, public health or food nutrition, food safety or related field or 5 years equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
- Advanced verbal and written English language skills, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Knowledge of good manufacturing practices
- Knowledge of cannabis product standards
- Experience with packaging and labeling laws
- Experience working with public health regulations
- Requires valid passport as travelling will be a component of the position
- Ability to work with team members from a remote office
