Our client, a vertically integrated and diversified multi-state holding company in the cannabis industry, is seeking a Regional Controller for their Portland area office.
Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, the Regional Controller will oversee all aspects of finance and accounting for their California and Oregon cannabis operations including cultivation, manufacturing and retail.
This position requires a current CPA, who must be an experienced, hands-on professional leader, that thrives in a startup environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Financial Statements: Responsible for subsidiary-level financial statements
- Required to close the G/L on a monthly basis with monthly reconciliations
- Budgeting: Create and adhere to budgets, cash flows projections, and budget to actual analysis
- Reporting: KPI and management reports, and will be in charge of creating and documenting accounting and financial reporting processes
- Audit: Assistance with the year-end external audits and interim reviews
- Tax: Tax compliance and other related work
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management or related field required
- 6-8 years public and private experience
- Retail or manufacturing experience, including cost accounting a plus
- Proven leadership experience in past accounting positions
- A thorough understanding of financial reporting systems, procedures, and controls, with knowledge of IFRS is a plus
- Sharp, self-motivated quick learner with strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize.
- Must possess advanced Excel skills as well as full MS Suite
- CPA required
Compensation: $100-104K Plus Benefits and Equity Participation
