Job Description:

Summary

The Regional Business Networking Specialist is primarily responsible for implementing facility-specific promotional initiatives which capture the essence of The Green Solution while meeting the needs of each facilities consumer landscape. The Regional Business Networking Specialist ensures a positive relationship with local business owners and the community at large through liaison activities, and community engagement endeavors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with stakeholders and General Managers in small group settings to execute the company mission statement and to establish and implement the Executive Officers’ vision through community partnerships, Chamber of Commerce interactions, local business partnerships, and developing store-specific marketing plans
  • Establish closed-loop analytics with sales to understand how our inbound marketing activity turns into customers, and continually refine our process to convert customers
  • Retain a loyal customer base through facility promotions within budgetary constrains established by Executive Officers and General Managers
  • Develop a network of TGS-friendly businesses, organizations, community organizers, and chambers of commerce
  • Understand the complexity of compliance requirements governing our businesses, including the following types of regulatory agencies: Marijuana Enforcement Division, Fire Department, City Zoning and Planning, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and more
  • Meet with local business owners to discuss sales partnerships and promotions to create store-specific marketing campaigns
  • Research and develop demographic-based approaches for each facility in the retail region
  • Collaborate with content marketing and blog contributors to create high-quality content around important, relevant terms for each facilities consumer landscape
  • Attend government and Chamber of Commerce functions to represent the Green Solution, and act as a liaison to the community
  • Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing leads and customers as well as from brand new audiences
  • Help coordinate events and off-site marketing
  • Provide feedback to other contributors, and edit content for facility internet reviews

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or equivalent field required
    • Must maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED); Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and TGS Management
    • Advanced marketing and/or sales experience
    • Excellent computer, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or equivalent field required
  • Must maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED); Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and TGS Management

Training

  • Familiarity with word processing, design, database, point-of-sales, and web-based software applications
  • Excellent influential, collaborative, and relationship building skills
  • High-level attention to detail
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Office features
  • Knowledge of advanced marketing principles, such as targeted campaigns, social media marketing, search engine optimization, and localized cross-promotions
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with shifting workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Colorado marijuana laws, MED regulations, and CDPHE requirements; Previous marijuana industry experience preferred with priority given to candidates with experience in CO licensed facilities
  • Cannabis industry experience preferred
  • Must be able to individually lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for long periods of time

Work Requirements
  • Must be able to work in an office environment with moderate to loud noise level
  • Must be able to work off-site in retail, manufacturing, or production facilities with moderate to loud noise level and changing working conditions. May require use of safety equipment or personal protective equipment, as needed.
  • Must be able to acquire MED Support badge ($75 Fee to State of CO) prior to beginning employment
  • Occasionally requires local travel, as needed.
