Position: Recruiting Manager

Reports To: HR Director

Job Overview

Have a Heart is a cannabis retailer headquartered in Seattle, Washington. We need an ambitious recruiting manager who can design and implement our hiring processes in the company’s home state of Washington, while scaling and replicating those processes across the country as the company enters a period of aggressive expansion. The individual we seek is experienced in identifying, qualifying and screening candidates from front-line managers to technology specialists in our headquarters. The recruiting manager will report to the HR director, and must be able to work closely with other senior managers in a startup environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage complete lifecycle staffing process for pre-ipo company.
  • Evaluate existing hiring needs and prepare staffing plan to accomplish goals.
  • Develop and update all staffing programs as well as policies.
  • Update entire required employment forms.
  • Collaborate with retail managers to prepare staffing strategy for existing and future needs.
  • Provide hiring metrics, such as cost per hire, to the company as required.
  • Ensure compliance with organization’s staffing policies as well as procedures.
  • Monitor maintenance of all internal HR systems in conjunction with the HR director.
  • Uphold corporate culture and brand across recruiting campaigns.
  • Manage and lead external recruitment sources inclusive of employment agencies contract negotiations.
  • Reports to the director of HR and must be able to work seamlessly with the company’s various regional operations managers.

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Recruiting Manager, Consultant or Coordinator.
  • Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and HR databases.
  • Knowledge of California labor legislation.
  • Multi-lingual candidate highly desirable.
  • Experience with interviews, candidate screening and evaluation.
  • Familiarity with social media and other professional networks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and team management skills.
  • Strong initiative and decision-making skills necessary.
  • BS in Human Resources Management or related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in staffing and recruiting.
