Job Description
The Receptionist role is to maintain the best customer experience at all time through customer service and to ensure all required paperwork is received and verified for all customers. Receptionists are to act as brand ambassadors as they are the face of Caliva and should always hold themselves to a higher standard.
Duties and responsibilities
- Demonstrating excellent customer service.
- Following all policies and procedures.
- Maintain strong communication with management staff.
- Adhering to all city regulations with emphasis on patient intake and paperwork.
- Greeting every customer upon entrance to the lobby.
- Checking in all visitors according to policy and procedure.
- Checking ID’s and verifying all paperwork.
- Responsibility for learning/retaining all communication from management staff.
- Performing all opening/closing duties according to policies and procedures.
- Create labels for budroom when needed.
- Ensure lobby area is clean and full of clutter at all times.
- Ensure lobby restrooms are clean.
- Check in with packaging room for stickered vial inventory.
- Responsibility for communicating daily specials to customers.
- Recognizing when customers may need additional help from a medical doctor, and let a manager know so that we can set them up with an appointment.
- Keep open communication to Managers.
- Contributing to marketing communication.
- Taking initiative and making your ideas known.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Experience in using medical cannabis or gardening is a plus.
- Must be able to pass a background check conducted by the San Jose Police Department.
- Must be reliable and dependable with a good work ethic.
- Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Additional Skills
- Ability to multitask and time manage.
- Must be able to adapt to a changing work environment.
- Provide adequate levels of support to cultivation division.
- Must be detail oriented and take direction well.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Must have at least entry-level knowledge of medical marijuana, related vocabulary and products offered.
