Verano Holdings Corp. is made up of a conglomeration of highly-successful cannabis companies across the United States.The Company is constantly expanding and acquiring new assets, and requires a portfolio manager and analyst to assist in the real estate side of the business.

Position Summary: Verano Holdings Corp. is seeking a Real Estate Portfolio Manager to assist the Company in locating, reviewing, vetting, and analyzing new and potential real estate assets for the Company’s multi-state licensed cannabis operations. The Real Estate Portfolio Manager would support the Company’s Chief Strategy Officer and Director of New Markets and be responsible for reviewing demographic and traffic data, zoning and planning ordinances, and State and local laws. This individual will be expected to understand the structures of new and existing real estate investments and their impact on the Company’s portfolio of licensed entities. This position involves direct interaction with work closely with the Company’s Executive and management teams, as well as tax, finance, and legal advisers.

Principal duties are:

  • Research, review, and locate commercial real estate assets across a number of U.S. States.
  • Create reports and models regarding demographic, traffic, and other environmental impacts.
  • Create and/or improve financial models of current and new real estate assets.
  • Coordinate required public relations/community interactions for new and existing sites and properties.
  • Model and analyze different real estate assets based on multiple data points.
  • Provide support for reporting activities (such as quarterly reports, investor presentations, internal presentations, standard deliverables etc.) which includes both qualitative and quantitative information.
  • Bachelor's degree required - preferably in Finance, Economics or Engineering.
  • 2+ years’ experience in the real estate or real estate investment industry.
  • Computer proficiency with a strong working knowledge of the suite of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Advanced Excel skills in order to create, audit, and improve nested formulas in multi-tab financial models. Be able to build models from scratch as well as improve existing ones.
  • Understanding real estate concepts such as net leases, gross leases, contract rents, percentage rents, operating expenses, capital expenditures, JV partners, waterfalls, promote, and incentive fees.
  • Strong quantitative skills and demonstrated analytical ability .
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to convey complex data in an easy, concise and simple manner. Able to translate financial concepts into excel.
  • Strong presentation skills for both internal and external parties.
  • Self-starter and intellectually curious. Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously working independently or as a team.
