The business is a "blue-collar" manufacturing based operations oriented work place and the ideal candidate will have experience working in a like or similar environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Candidates should have a scientific background, be able to learn quickly, work well with a team and meet deadlines
  • To provide analytical support to new product innovations and launches within Processing / Extraction.
  • Formulate from concept to finish; independent formulations.
  • Duplicate and prototype other products in the market.
  • Understand each ingredient function, and its use.
  • Perform stability testing and trouble shoot unstable formulas.
  • Trouble shoot scale-up issues.
  • Supervise pilot and first three production batches.
  • Provide troubleshooting expertise to correct in-process production issues.
  • Manage multiple projects.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workplace.
  • Evaluates test results for suitability and designates acceptability.
  • Performs analyses and routine data review as needed.
  • Support the preparation of relevant internal documentation and ensure all are approved prior to full production start-up.
  • Help compiling technical reports throughout the product development process.
  • Ensure all individual work adheres to Global Quality Manuals and relevant legislative, regulatory and health & safety requirements, including appropriate quality
  • Support the development and implementation of R&D policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • BS degree or MS degree in Chemistry (Organic focus desired)
  • 1-3+ years’ experience (Internship experience is acceptable, extensive experience in a lab environment is not required)
  • Candidates should have a scientific background, be able to learn quickly, work well with a team and meet deadlines
  • Experience in R&D or GMP regulated analytical laboratory is a plus
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment, including cross functional Project Teams involving members from product development team
  • al communication skills to effectively provide feedback to project teams or immediate supervisor
  • Timely execution of multiple project objectives within established timelines
  • Self-motivated, seeking information from others to accomplish

Additional Requirements

  • Florida Driver's License or ability to obtain one.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and the range is between $50K-$60K. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
