Under this project, the Quantitative Health Impact Analyst—Cannabis will be responsible for leading the design of studies and the collection and analysis of quantitative data for cannabis health impact assessment, monitoring, and investigation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The duties of the Quantitative Health Impact Analyst - Cannabis include, but are not limited to:
- Establish relevant baseline population data on social determinants of health and
- health outcomes
- Identify and employ innovative analytic methods for predicting health outcomes
- Develop dashboards to monitor key indicators over time
- Analyze survey and administrative data to address specific cannabis policy research questions
- Display and describe data in user friendly visual and written format
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills, knowledge of word processing, data entry, and use of Internet and Internet research
Education/Experience
- A Master’s Degree in Public Health or related social science field from an accredited
college or university; and two year of post-Master’s degree experience conducting
quantitative analysis in public health or related social science field OR a Doctorate
degree with minimum 2 years’ post-doctoral experience with quantitative analysis of
public health data
- Trained in SAS Programming and/or other statistical software and in manipulation
and analysis of large complex data bases
- Training and experience with data visualization
- Experience conducting research literature reviews in the health or social sciences
Certificates/Licenses
- Valid Class C California Driver's License, proof of vehicle insurance, and reliable, timely transportation for travel to a variety of sites throughout Los Angeles County

- Successful clear the Live Scan process through LA County
