Summary

The Quality/Risk Management Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the Risk Management Department to include safety, security, and compliance. This includes the collecting, collating, and preparing of data and on-site operational information from various company departments for review by the Director of Risk Management. The Q/RM Coordinator coordinates all S-Type Risk Management projects and works collaboratively with other internal and external stakeholders to implement change management processes for quality and compliance purposes. The Q/RM Coordinator provides direct support to the Director of Risk Management by assisting with drafting memos, taking and typing minutes, formulating final reports for the various S-type Risk Management projects and committees, as well as assisting with drafting and revising Risk Management policies and procedures for continuous improvement. This position is directly involved with assisting in the development, implementation and auditing of company program internal controls for compliance and quality assurance under the direct guidance of the Director of RM. Additional duties include assisting with scheduling various projects, site audits (both internal and external in nature), and creating sound documentation control for all projects and processes. This position provides organizational support and performance improvement processes consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand the complexity of compliance requirements governing our businesses, including the following types of regulatory agencies: Marijuana Enforcement Division, OSHA, Fire Department(s), City Zoning and Planning Department(s), Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and more
  • Assist with managing day-to-day operations in Safety, Security, and Compliance under the direction of the RM Director
  • Coordinate S-Type projects with internal and external stakeholders for successful implementation
  • Coordinate internal controls of existing and new processes and change management systems for quality control and compliance
  • Act as a liaison and facilitator for planning, coordination, and implementation of S-Type Risk Management projects
  • Provide assistance to ensure compliance with all local, State and Federal regulatory agencies, including licenses, permits, and other authorizations related to safety, security, and compliance
  • Collect, gather, record, and file information from S-Type Risk projects
  • Maintain professional working relationships closely with staff in retail, cultivation, manufacturing, and cultivation facilities
  • Conduct audits in Cultivation, Manufacturing, and Retail locations
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop, review, and update standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy and relevance in providing guidance to management and employees
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to direct compliance issues to appropriate internal channels for resolution
  • Audit packaging and labeling, regulatory records and logs, scales, health, safety, security, and other compliance concerns
  • Act as the administrator for LP Software (CAMS and LPMS)
  • Provide support to corporate, retail, cultivation, and manufacturing personnel to ensure compliance with governing rules and regulations and company protocols
  • Assist the Director of Risk Management with change management for implementation
  • Audit practices and records of manufacturing, retail, and cultivation facilities to ensure compliance with company programs and governing regulations
  • All other tasks and job duties as assigned
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; preference given to candidates with project coordination, project management, and quality assurance experience
  • Must maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED); Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and TGS Management
  • Must maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Green Solution, TGS Management, S- Type Armored, NectarBee, and its affiliates
  • High-level attention to detail, administrative skills, problem-solving skills, and highly organized
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with current versions
  • Ability to follow established company protocol for digital and printed document storage
  • Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations, MED regulations, HIPPA, and CDPHE requirements
  • Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision
  • Excellent influential, collaborative, and relationship building skills
  • Excellent computer, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills
  • Knowledge of advanced Microsoft Office features
  • Outgoing, charismatic, and trustworthy
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with shifting workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Colorado marijuana laws, MED regulations, and CDPHE requirements; Previous marijuana industry experience preferred with priority given to candidates with experience in CO licensed facilities
  • Cannabis industry experience preferred
  • Must be able to individually lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for long periods of time

Qualifications

Education

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; preference given to candidates with project coordination, project management, and quality assurance experience
