Summary/Objective
Hands-on Quality Assurance Engineering Manager with a proven track record of leading all aspects of testing of software products, platforms, and applications. This person will ensure that we not only deliver the highest quality products and services but that we exceed the needs of our customers from internal partner groups as far as our largest external enterprise customers. In this role, you will lead testing of quarterly feature releases spanning Cloud Platform and strategic initiatives. You will also be responsible for the implementation of product testing and automation, including validation. You manage and mentor the remaining QA team. In addition, the QA team works closely with Engineering, Product Development, Customer Experience and User Experience. This position reports directly to the Head of Project Management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Grow, mentor, train, and advise the team.
Coordinate with Product and Development teams on major and minor releases, retail escalations, and support the overall product roadmap.
Provide leadership and expertise with interactive training to a team of highly technical Quality Engineers (QE).
Supervise and lead the developments and execution of project and release test plans and test cases, and influence decisions on testing approaches and test automation strategies.
Own the creation and maintenance of the QE testing schedule and keep the team on target.
Lead test execution, ensure bug reports are submitted and bug fixes have been verified.
Gather quality metrics and report out on a pre-defined basis.
Work with a variety of groups across multiple disciplines to continuously improve the effectiveness of the QE organization.
Drive strategic initiatives focused on quality, performance, and scalability.
Responsible for employee development, performance planning and review, counseling, evaluation, and hiring.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
10+ years of experience in Software Engineering and Quality Assurance, with a solid understanding of SQA process and function testing of cloud platforms, websites, desktop clients and mobile apps.
4+ years of experience managing professional test software teams.
Proven track record managing QA for a high-quality, Enterprise SaaS product.
Hands-on testing of cloud-based applications or other application software/platforms.
Creating metrics for assessing coverage, gaps and forming strategic plans to provide coverage.
Experience QA automation infrastructure.
Proven ability to project plan and report transparently and accurately to management teams on state of release and progress.
Performance testing and automation.
Highly technical, engaged leader for testing and quality assurance projects.’
An attention to Pixel Level Design
Continuous integration test environments (Jenkins, TeamCity) and test automation frameworks for API, web, mobile and/or desktop applications (Selenium, Soasta).
Highly preferred working experience with our Technology Stack: .net, PHP, Ruby, Java, web, rational DB, or similar.
Led, or played an integral role, a team where automation tools were evaluated and utilized to improve and scale the testing process.
