The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for the daily execution of all medical cannabis safety and quality processes ensuring they meet company, customer, and state regulations. The analyst is responsible for floor inspections of all processing operations, as well as, the continual training of staff to maintain quality standards. In addition he/she will perform the daily review of documents, batch records and inspection of goods to release finished product from manufacturing and maintain an uninterrupted supply of medical marijuana to the dispensaries. They will work closely with our cultivators and manufacturing staff to execute these quality standards at every phase of production.
The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for safely and effectively supervising, auditing and training staff to ensure products are high quality, food safe medical cannabis tinctures and liquids for ingestion, inhalation, solid dosages, or topical application by registered patients.
Responsibilities include:
Monitoring processes for pre-formulation and finished product manufacturing operations to ensure adherence to company and state regulations.
Assists in writing, implementing, and training on SOPs for new procedures, critical equipment and processes and/or controls.
Assists in the management of the SOP system.
Review and maintenance of documentation for manufacturing batch records, analytical test records and data, equipment calibration and maintenance.
Coordinating release testing with manufacturing and the NY Department of Health (DOH) for finished products to ensure dispensaries and patients maintain an uninterrupted supply of medical cannabis.
Assists in development and management of an equipment preventive maintenance and calibration system.
Assists in development and management activities for a vendor certification program.
Helps to monitor data for both approved product stability in support of shelf life expiry and extensions, as well as, products in research and development.
Audits and evaluates inspection results.
Assists in the development and continuous improvement of quality systems to ensure adherence to company and DOH Regulations.
Education/Experience:
MS in Chemistry, Biology, or related science, plus 5 - 10 years Quality Assurance experience
BS in Chemistry, Biology, or related field, plus 10 - 15 years Quality Assurance experience
Experience having worked in a QC/R&D laboratory highly desirable
Age: State law requires that applicants be 21 years old to work for a cultivation center.

Carries out all procedures in an efficient manner that also complies with OSHA regulations, PharmaCann SOP’s and all applicable procedures.
Ensures compliance and accuracy involving all product tracking, product security, and product movement procedures.
Performs in-process and post-process quality assurance testing and conducting visual inspections to ensure all product meets or exceed PharmaCann’s specifications and patients’ expectations. Such quality assurance work shall include but not be limited to:
Records and monitors process conditions to ensure compliance to standard operating procedures
Continually strives to improve PharmaCann’s processes for improved patient safety, quality, and efficient manufacturing
