The QRC Specialist is responsible for assisting in maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS), supporting internal and external audit activities, and working in collaboration with Human Resources to improve and maintain the employee training program, reporting to the Vice President, Quality and CA Regulatory Compliance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Quality Management System activities, including:
- Performing document quality reviews prior to approval of products.
- Assist in administration of our internal software monitoring and work flow tool, and filing of documents in the QMS repository.
- Assist in maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Responsible for all duties of Quality Control Unit
- Actively contribute to the modification of QMS to continually improve processes, efficiency, and quality.
- Assist in management of annual QMS Review Memos and/or email notifications.
- Assist in gathering and reporting of QMS compliance metrics.
- Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) activities including:
- Ownership and follow up of QMS-related CAPA’s.
- Assisting in gathering and reporting of CAPA compliance metrics.
- Customer and internal audit activities, including:
- Support Manager, QRC and other company staff during the conduct and preparation of customer audits;
- Preparing training records,
- Gathering and creating other requested documentation during audits.
- Assist in coordination of audit responses to State, Federal and Local Agencies.
- Assist in audit follow-up for training compliance findings.
- Assist in gathering and reporting of audit metrics.
- Perform internal compliance audits of critical functions, prepare internal audit report and follow up on findings.
- All other functions as designated by Senior Management (where applicable).
Competency Requirements:
- A good understanding of the principles of customer audits and working with a Quality Management Systems.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced global team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and organize multiple tasks and deliverables.
- Computer Savvy and able to learn new software
- Proven working knowledge of internet technology and Microsoft Office applications, to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Visio.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- You are at least 21 years of age.
- Minimum AA Degree and/or previous experience in an audit and/or documentation role, within the Cannabis Industry.
- Must be able to pass required City background checks.
- Previous customer facing experience or role.
- Working knowledge and understanding of all applicable regulations associated with cannabis.
NOTICE: Due to Desert Hot Springs Municipal Code you will be required to pass a LiveScan background check through the Desert Hot Springs Police Department, which is a requirement for this position
