Under this project, the Qualitative Health Impact Analyst - Cannabis will be responsible for leading the design of studies and the collection and analysis of qualitative data for cannabis health impact assessment, monitoring, and investigation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The duties of the Qualitative Health Impact Analyst include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, conduct, and analyze key informant interviews
- Develop, conduct, and analyze focus groups
- Use qualitative findings to help inform quantitative methods and interpret quantitative results
- Write up findings for reports and policy briefs
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills, knowledge of word processing, data entry, and use of Internet and Internet research
Education/Experience
- A Master’s Degree in Public Health or related social science field from an accredited college or university; and two years’ experience conducting qualitative research in public health or related social science field
- Training and experience in qualitative data collection and analysis
- Experience with qualitative data analysis software (e.g., Atlas)
- Experience conducting research literature reviews in the health or social sciences
Certificates/Licenses
- Valid Class C California Driver's License, proof of vehicle insurance, and reliable, timely transportation for travel to a variety of sites throughout Los Angeles County
