We are a start-up cannabis company on the verge of explosive growth.
This position is primarily responsible for providing a wide variety of purchasing support for the company as well as administrative support to management members, employees, customers and visitors.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reviews internal purchase requests, confers with requestors to confirm details and level of urgency
- Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
- Prepares purchase orders or bid requests.
- Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
- Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
- Approves invoices for payment.
- Prepares and sorts Purchase Order documents from customers, and identifies and interprets data to be entered
- Compares data entered with source documents. Makes necessary corrections to information entered.
- Reviews errors and enters corrections into computer.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a Purchasing and Inventory administrator
- Strong attention to detail, data-entry and clerical skills
- Computer skills- Microsoft Word & Excel; ERP Software
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to effectively negotiate with vendors on price, delivery schedules, and volume purchases
