Our client, a cannabis industry products and services leader, is seeking a buyers agent who is a tenacious self-starter to assume an important role in the sourcing and purchasing within their supply chain.
Based in Orange County, CA, the buyer will have responsibility for maintaining an assigned account base, controlling costs and will work alongside the head of the supply chain, striving to improve cost savings and smoothing out operating efficiencies to support corporate sales goals.
Improving operating efficiencies and reducing costs are imperative in this role.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Inventory Management: Maintain appropriate supply levels, monitor and manage stock and inventory, maintain the correct balance of inventory, analyze and optimize inventory for maximum efficiency
- Supply Chain: Analyze and improve incoming shipments to maximize the efficiency, reducing costs, and monitoring incoming shipments, relaying results to management to ensure continuous stock levels
- Vendors: Continue to seek purchase order cost reductions on items and shipping at all times, and resolve any discrepancies on incoming orders, while maintaining supplier price sheets terms to maximize efficiency.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 2-5 Yrs experience as a purchasing agent or other related fields
- Excellent written, verbal and negotiating skills required
- BS Degree in inventory management or related field a plus
- Expert computer skills and MS Office Suite required
