Job Description:

Under general direction, represents and maintains the highest standard of excellence of interpersonal and organization skills in supporting the Company’s Medical Marijuana Establishments.

The responsibilities of the Purchaser include but are not limited to; maintaining both patient and company confidentiality at all times, maintains accurate inventory control processes, record keeping and reporting, maintains quality control standards of all cannabis products, components, product containers, in-process materials, packaging materials and labeling; ensures proper ordering, receives and maintains proper tracking logs as set by state and local requirements, executes precise daily, weekly and monthly inventory reports; facilitates daily tracking and supply of inventory across multiple departments, maintains up to date knowledge of flower, edibles and infused company products, enthusiastic ability to work as part of a diverse team, ensures that all duties are performed in accordance with company, safety and sanitation standards as stated by the MME regulatory agencies as well guidelines set forth by state and local laws.

Responsibilities:
  • Forecasts monthly inventory and supply levels by department. Accurately and efficiently receives and processes incoming and outgoing orders while maintaining appropriate par levels of inventory and supplies across departments.
  • Analyzes business trends and develops strategies for new growth opportunities while managing current pars/varieties at optimal in stock levels. Assists management with developing key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of inventory management operations.
  • Measures and reports to management on Vendor performance. Regularly sources opportunities across categories to achieve maximum cost savings and obtain financial goals. Negotiates discounts, promotions, incentives and margin builders.
  • Executes inventory plans to achieve asset management aligned with company goals; resolves shipping, receiving, invoicing and payment issues to ensure prompt and accurate payments to suppliers and vendors.
  • Performs daily administrative/clerical tasks including interdepartmental and vendor paperwork, emails maintaining files, invoices, cash handling, phone inquiries, etc.
  • Monitors inventory levels and inventory movement using both manual and computerized inventory systems. Tracks backorders and seasonal sell through specific buying. Maintains accurate, organized and compliant departmental records; reviews for assurance that no errors have occurred, investigates, reports and resolves any discrepancies.

Qualifications:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ previous inventory operations work experience in either retail, manufacturing or distribution.
  • Candidate must possess strong computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office with special emphasis on excel.
  • Ability to quickly familiarize with company POS system, inventory tracking software, relevant state laws and patients’ rights.
  • Must possess a strong results and goals/deadline-orientated work ethic, high attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, with ability to develop and bring to completion multiple assignments concurrently.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment background and drug testing checks as well as obtain state-issued Medical Marijuana Establishment Agent Card upon acceptance of an employment offer.
  • Candidate must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on the demands of the business, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with along with frequent bending, stooping and reaching.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently and push or pull up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to handle fast paced environment while providing superior customer service.
