Responsibilities:
The Project Manager is a multi-faceted position within the Company that coordinates across different functional departments to ensure the effective completion of various manufacturing projects for different clients of BAS Research. You will be working closely with the Sales and Account Management team to over communicate to clients when their project will be completed. The Project Manager’s Key Performance Indicators (KPI) is to ensure projects meet the aggressive deadlines and to ensure all department are aware of their deliverables to meet the goals of each project. Your primary responsibilities will include but is not limited to:
- Manage multiple projects across different functional departments to ensure the effective completion of various cannabis manufacturing projects for different clients of BAS Research.
- Act as Lead Coordinator for assigned projects in the manufacturing of Brand Clients’ products.
- Work closely with the Sales and Account Management Team to ensure client success.
- Make day-to-day decisions with minimal supervision for successful project management aligned with Company objectives and directives on assigned projects.
- Consult with executive team on all major project decisions, changes in project direction and outcomes.
- Keep the information flowing seamlessly between Clients and the Company, as well as between the Departments and the Clients.
- Maintain technical know-how and first-hand knowledge of the tasks assigned to others to keep the project moving forward.
- Actively monitor project and work order status of parallel projects and data in-house software platform is accurate.
- Use in-house software platform to generate bill of materials, work orders, or other electronic documents necessary for project completion and compliance.
- Actively monitor project components to ensure project and production continuity.
- Actively communicate to the Clients of any production changes, delays, or advancements.
- Support the functional technical managers and their teams (biomass, extraction, secondary processing, formulation, fulfillment) in meeting project timelines and goals.
- Work closely with our General Counsel to ensures compliance of all products.
- Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and outcomes.
- Coordinate with department leaders to schedule project stages and delivery expected lead times to clients.
- Plan for and resolve unexpected delays, production issues or schedule recovery options.
- Effectively use project management/milestone planning techniques (including software) to drive multiple projects to completion.
- Prepare project reports and presents them via oral, written and/or electronic means.
- Travel when necessary to meet with client or project teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business field (M.S. preferred) with at least 5 years of experience in project management, technical project management, and or other similar functional role in manufacturing, processing, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or cannabis industries.
- Must have leadership experience.
- Must be highly organized.
- Is an exceptional and proactive communicator with both oral and written communication skills.
- Has exceptional interpersonal relationship skills to work with a diverse set of clients and Company management roles.
- Has experience working with technical experts, especially in the completion of a project.
- Some working knowledge and experience with cannabis processing and product manufacturing is required.
