Responsibilities

We are seeking a project minded individual with excellent people and organizational skills to add to our growing team. The Project Manager is responsible to initiate and develop presentation materials and work with clients to ensure the delivery of program services. The primary focus of this role is to ensure adequate resource planning to meet contractual obligations for business application reviews, audits, and inspections of cannabis operations in our client communities throughout California. The ideal candidate should possess a passion for managing all aspects of complex administration, coordination, and delivery of services and flawless execution of projects.

  • Own and drive projects from beginning to completion and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Understand contractual agreements to identify and manage client needs and expectations.
  • Proactively coordinate engagement appointments on behalf of more than the 70 clients in California and act as the primary point of contact.
  • Establish project timelines, forecast resources, assign responsibilities, logistical coordination and monitor status of projects.
  • Develop client and other presentations and proof-read presentations from staff members.
  • Quickly adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with team members, clients, and other departments involved in projects.
  • Develop and maintain complex schedules for meetings, interviews, financial audits and regulatory/compliance inspections.
  • Establish comprehensive project schedules to be shared with clients and other staff members.
  • Effectively plan and route assignments to efficiently maximize staff time while meeting client project timelines.
  • Ensure all staff understand their deliverables and escalate any issues that affect the timeline.
  • Organize work to achieve program efficiencies and deliver services timely.
  • Respond to all project inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Utilize project management/data management system to effectively accomplish all required elements.
  • Provide necessary documents and complete and current information to appropriate staff.
  • Communicate difficult/sensitive information to clients tactfully.
  • Schedule and participate in meetings and conference calls.
  • Prepare reports and assist others with research, contracts database and billing issues.
  • Develop and follow detailed operations and execute plans aligned with the achievement of program major milestones.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2 years’ experience in project-based work or similar related role
  • Exemplary client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
  • Technical proficiencies with MS Office and methods of organizing data into presentations, reports, charts, graphs, and databases
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving
