Cannabis entering the BAS facility is tested for potency using Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography and is sent to an independent third party laboratory for microbial and pesticide screening.

Responsibilities:
The Project Accountant for Brand Management is fully responsible for tracking brand project profit and loss and royalty payment to Brand owners, including validating the bill of material, cost of raw material, labor cost, and other overhead expenses that are billable to the Brand. The job duties for this role include the following:

  • Effectively communicate with the Project Manager, Account Manager, and other team members regarding manufacturing orders, change orders and other modifications, approvals and any additional services.
  • Work with other departments and Brand owners to set up and maintain the Bill of Materials.
  • Issue invoices for finished products picked up by client or distribution.
  • Calculate monthly royalty reports for each Brand.
  • Prepare monthly Profit and Loss statement for each brand and discuss with management about variances.
  • Work with Account Management Team on invoicing and overdue accounts receivable.
  • Set up new project codes and maintain all Brand-related records, including change of orders.
  • Reconcile inventory report.
  • Close out manufacturing orders upon completion.
  • Other assignments as requested.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or business preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience in cost accounting or project accounting in the manufacturing or consulting environment.
  • Ability to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
