Job Description:

This position will be responsible for strategic sourcing and management of mission-critical operations for payment processing in the cannabis ecosystem. Knowledge and experience in the payments and financial services industries is required. Daily responsibilities would include: management of external vendors / partners, interaction with the internal product & engineering teams, serving as the escalation point for payment issues, responsibility for business development pipeline, and contingency planning and execution. A successful candidate will:
  • Effectively source and assess payment processors (predominantly high-risk).
  • Manage relationships with payment processors including pragmatic assessment service delivery and roadblocks.
  • Own communication both internally with company stakeholders and externally with payment partners, escalating critical issues with partners as needed.
  • Interface with product management, engineering, operations, and sales counterparts regarding program progress (including technical implementation, collections, etc.).
  • Manage effective collections for Eaze Accounts Receivable with external partners (as needed).
  • Serve as liaison between dispensary partners and payment processors.
Our ideal candidate:
  • 3-5 years of business development and/or account management experience, with some experience in the high-risk payments space.
  • Can persuasively influence partners and maintain rapport, communicating professionally with integrity.
  • Is both tenacious and solutions-oriented, operating with a sense of urgency in order to solve problems quickly.
  • Detail-oriented but conscious of requirements of different audiences; wears well in repeat interactions with vendor / partner contacts.
  • Able to understand technical concepts and communicate with with technical audiences.
  • Based in Venice Beach or San Francisco.
  • 10-15% travel required.
