The State of New Hampshire, Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau of Family Assistance has a part time vacancy for Program Assistant II.
SUMMARY:
To perform all paraprofessional duties associated with eligibility determination and administering the Therapeutic Cannabis Program (TCP). To assist management in evaluating operational processes associated with this program.RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processes all applications and associated documentation in a timely and accurate manner to assure compliance with program requirements. Requests any outstanding documentation to assure the completeness of all applications.
Determines eligibility for the TCP.
Coordinates the evaluation of applications for Qualifying Patients, Designated Caregivers and Alternate Treatment Centers, and processes appropriately.
Coordinates preparation and monitoring of Alternate Treatment Center applications, Provider Written Certifications, Designated Caregiver and Qualifying Patient Registration Cards in accordance with state regulations.
Supervises the collection, processing and maintenance of Designated Caregiver and Qualifying Patient Registration cards and related documentation per Department policy.
Coordinates the monitoring of Written Certifications from Providers and Applications from Designated Caregivers and Qualifying Patients for compliance with state guidelines.
Coordinates and maintains record keeping system, including the compilation of specialized reporting for the Therapeutic Cannabis Program.
Assists in and recommends the development of policies, procedures or alternative work methods to improve the flow of work.
Prepares and presents information to Division of Client Services staff, other agencies or the public to clarify policies, procedures and standards of the Therapeutic Cannabis Program.
Works with various computer software programs to accomplish data queries and for the preparation of written administrative and financial reports.
Provides oversight and/or guidance, as needed, to other program staff in the TCP Unit. Assumes responsibility for the program in the absence of the Supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Three years of experience in an office or public agency setting, with responsibility for providing program information to others. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
License/Certification: Valid New Hampshire driver's license for travel throughout the state.
