Responsibilities:
We are searching for a positive, energetic, detail oriented team leader to fill the position of Production Supervisor. This person will be responsible for managing a team of 2-3 people and for the execution of large scale edible production runs in a commercial kitchen/laboratory setting. This position is primarily focused on hard lozenge production and team management, but will need to be flexible and able to help out in any area as needed. The skill set/responsibilities include the following:
- Plan inventory and ensures production efficiency
- Attain, process and fulfill production orders
- Create and maintain a packaging and fulfillment schedule
- Closely monitor production schedule and provide accurate forecasting
- Support and empower staff with cross training and education
- Monitor and adjust staffing levels to match appropriate workflow
- Manage fulfillment team – operations team – sales team feedback loop
- Maintains accurate tracking records for inventory
- Identify issues and provide leadership in developing solutions
- Maintain safe work environment that is compliant with all local and state industry regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or work experience equivalent – with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant management and operations experience
- A minimum of 2 years Culinary experience with a focus in confectionary products and inventory management
- Cannabis industry experience a plus but not required.
- Proven work experience as a Production Supervisor
- Ability to delegate tasks, yet still lead by doing
- Extraordinary interpersonal communication skills
- Self-starter with a strong initiative: ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Flexibility – there are constant changes and updates in this industry
- Ability to periodically lift, push, and pull 50+ pounds, stand, walk, kneel, bench and reach
