Summary
The Production Planner at MedMen is responsible for planning the production of multiple finished goods as well as intermediary goods within the constraints of with materials availability, demand plans, resource availability and plant capacity (plans of 1-6 months and outward). The Production Planner will work closely with various departments including demand planning, cultivation, manufacturing, procurement, and materials management, etc.

- Coordinate with demand planning to understand the forward-looking demand plan and how that will drive production.
- Utilize MRP within the production module of the ERP to drive materials & resource need for production.
- Coordinate with internal and external contacts to insure the day-to-day operations (work-orders, finish dates, etc.) are integrated into our long-term scheduling plan.
- Look for ways to drive output of finished goods production through optimization of intermediary (WIP) goods production.
- Work closely with cultivation and manufacturing to understand forecasted yields by product type.
- Work closely with cultivation and production to provide a realistic long-term production plan.
- Provide weekly and monthly updates during S&OP meetings on health of production plan.
- Work closely with purchasing and warehouse to make sure materials in inventory are accurate and inbound materials are scheduled to arrive in time for production.
- Work with other members of the Supply Chain team to develop KPI's to track the health and accuracy of the Production Planning function.
- Work with the Quality team to ensure materials are received and ready for production.
- Coordinate with finance to compile reports for monthly, quarterly and yearly financial close.
- Support ad hoc project requests from the Manager.
- Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, business analytics, logistics/supply chain is preferred or a minimum of 3 years experience as a production planner, master scheduler, demand planner, supply planner, etc.
- Strong background in a variety of inventory management concepts, practices and procedures. Specific production planning experience preferred
- Experience in using an ERP system, spreadsheet, database or other software.
- Effective team skills.

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of inventory accounting principles and controls.
- Ability to create and implement effective processes & procedures.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, highly proficient in Excel (e.g., Excel formulas, V-lookups, pivot tables) and has skill in preparing tables, graphs, and charts.
- Must possess a strong results and goal/deadline-oriented work ethic, high attention to detail and be flexible.
- Excellent organizational skills, with ability to develop and bring to completion multiple assignments concurrently.
Work environment
This job operates in an office setting, sometimes in a retail environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, file cabinets and fax machines. This role may also require the employee to handle product, lifting boxes, taping boxes, etc.
Physical Demands
The physical demands describe here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filling cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. Hours are subject to change.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
There is no visa or H1-B sponsorship. Must successful complete and pass background and drug screen, and live scan.
