The Product Manager (PM) is a staff position of the marketing department of KindPeoples. The position reports to the Marketing Director with dotted line reporting to the Operations Director.
Responsibilities
- Researching and vetting new products
- Identifying new vendors and managing relationships
- Creating product descriptions
- Managing product detail data on all in-house documents
- Providing training curriculum information
- Populating public facing menus
- Tracking product sales data
- Reporting data to management
- Assisting with marketing promotions.
The PM is expected to be a self-motivated, well-informed marketer who has exceptional networking skills with outside vendors and successfully brings new brands and products to the company as well as provide product information to both staff and customers. A successful PM will be in constant communication with the operations, procurement, finance and marketing departments.
Minimum Requirements
- Expert knowledge of cannabis and cannabis products
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for reporting purposes
- Proficiency in Powerpoint/Keynote for presentation purposes
- Effective interpersonal skills and strong communication (written and verbal)
- Highly organized and detailed oriented
- Self-motivated producer
- Bachelor degree
- 2 years cannabis industry experience
