LOUDPACK Farms is a consumer-goods company and is the leading manufacturer of premium medicinal cannabis products and is currently producing vape pens, concentrates, edibles, extracts and topicals.

LOUDPACK Farms is currently expanding into all reputable markets. The company is hiring an Procurement Specialist to work in our new state-of-the-art 40,000 sq. ft. cultivation and processing center located in Monterey County, CA.

Duties

The Procurement Specialist will perform a wide variety of buying and purchasing activities. Purchase supplies, services, equipment in the required quantity and quality; request for quotations; and to perform related work. Responsible for the complex and difficult purchasing duties; develop procurement strategies and documents, and negotiating fixed-price and cost-type contracts for services.

  • Coordinates specification preparation, and secures bids/proposals. Develops and maintains bidders' lists
  • Solicits quotations and bids; negotiates prices, terms and contracts. Selects suppliers from bidders' lists
  • Advises user department representatives on purchase methods and alternate products and may recommend substitutes
  • Resolves discrepancies and invoice problems; corresponds and communicates with suppliers and departments regarding services and complaints
  • Prepares bids and requests for quotations, including required special terms and conditions, performance, and technical criteria
  • Provides responsive, high quality service by providing accurate, complete and up-to-date information, in a courteous, efficient and timely manner

Qualifications and Skills

  • Accounting principles, material management systems
  • Contracting law, Uniform Commercial Code, and other laws and regulations pertaining to the solicitation of bids/proposals, evaluation of offers, negotiations and awarding of contracts; read, interpret and explain laws, rules and office policies and procedures
  • Current technology and trends in the profession; supervise, train, and evaluate subordinates
  • Perform cost and price analysis, negotiate business agreements; compile data for purposes of bidding and awarding contracts
  • Organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines and operating needs
  • Perform basic math; use and calculate measuring units
  • Prepare written records and complete logs; file records alphabetically and numerically
  • Effectively communicate orally and in writing; follow written and oral instructions; telephone, office, and on-line etiquette
  • Ensures compliance with State regulations and testing requirements; stays current with practices and new developments in the cannabis industry; understanding of state and local laws
  • Understanding of proper and safe handling of hazardous materials
  • Must at least 21 years old per state regulations and successfully pass a background and drug screening (excluding cannabis)
