PHP Laravel Software Developer
MJ Freeway is growing quickly in a fast-paced, nascent industry, and we’re looking for a PHP Software Engineer to join our talented team. This full-time position will architect and develop solutions for our web-based point-of-sale and inventory management software. We’re a hard-working team seeking a candidate who is self-motivated, innovative, and dedicated to giving our team and clients the very best.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Writing clean, high performing and well documented code that aligns with business goals
- Committing to and completing a set number stories per sprint
- Conducting and participating in code reviews
- Understanding the technology stack upon which your code operates and how that impacts your approaches
- Working knowledge of test driven development.
- Sharing knowledge and expertise between yourself and the other developers on your team.
- Troubleshooting application issues to their source
- Being responsive to urgent client needs in a timely manner
- Understanding the vital role our software plays in our clients’ businesses and treating issues and projects accordingly
REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years of software development experience
- Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering degree
- Experience with our technology stack is a plus, but you are the ideal candidate if you are an adaptable fast learner who can apply your programming savvy to any language or environment.
- PHP OOP experience
- Laravel Framework experience
- Node JS is a plus
- You’re a troubleshooter: you know how to systematically and doggedly run down and isolate a problem to its source and find resolutions
- You're driven to solve tough and interesting problems
- You’re creative in finding and evaluating multiple solutions to a problem
- You’re passionate about writing great code, and want your work to directly impact others in a positive way
- You can adapt to changing conditions
- You're hands on, action oriented, and you care about customers.
- You have experience in AGILE product development
