Job Introduction
We are seeking a Pharmacist to join our site in Huntsville, AL on a PRN basis.

We have some upcoming studies that requires a Pharmacist to prep and reconstitute vaccines.

Main Responsibilities

Prepares medications based on physician recommendations; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities. One on one patient consultations to determine the best therapy in conjunction with the recommending physician.
Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions.

Answers questions and provides patient counseling on drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals.

Works in the preparation, labeling and delivery of various medications or supplies according to prescriptions -- and making sure that all dispensed drugs are recorded and delivered in accordance with local, state and federal laws or regulations.

Responsible for counseling patients to identify, prevent, assess, and resolve medication-related problems to ensure a safe and optimal patient outcome; and promote, through criteria based protocols, clinically rational drug therapy and sound pharmaceutical care.

Responsible for the proper disposal and destruction of drugs.

Inventory rotation and inventory control

Submit and review the state prescription monitoring program

Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counseling patients on drug therapies;

Complies with state laws as regulated by the state medical cannabis program, maintaining records for controlled substances; removing outdated and damaged drugs from the dispensary inventory; supervising the work results of support personnel; maintaining current pharmacist registration; Protects patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols

Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

Maintains pharmacological knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies; Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate

Doctorate of Pharmacy
Demonstrates strong clinical pharmacy skills
Pharmacist License in good standing required
