Hollandia Nurseries, a Premier Garden Center and Nursery located in Bethel, Connecticut for 54 years is seeking staff for our growing and gardening season. PERENNIAL SALES and general care of perennial plant material including watering, fertilizing and displays. Great growth potential for qualified individuals. Must have 5 plus years experience in the horticultural field. Excellent knowledge of plant material is required. Perennial Production for the retail and landscape trade is required.
You must be self-motivated, responsible, and able to multi-task and possess good communication and supervisory skills. You will be involved in the daily growing activities including watering, potting, IPM, crop protection, spraying, etc. Knowledge and experience of garden center/nursery retail and/or re-wholesale sales. Supervision and delegation of a small greenhouse/perennial production staff will be required. Competitive wage based on experience.
