Patient & Physician Outreach Coordinator

The Patient & Physician Outreach Coordinator (PPOC) will work one-on-one with patients and caregivers under the direct supervision and guidance of the Dispensary Manager. The PPOC will provide patients and physicians with the most up-to-date information and education on the types, applications, and accepted uses of available Cannabis products as well as respond to questions and concerns . When not consulting patients, the PPOC will work outside of the dispensary educating the public and physicians about the products and services at Curaleaf as well as the benefits of Medical Cannabis as an alternative treatment option for patients with serious diseases.

The PPOC will be responsible building relationships with physicians and patients with the goal of expanding the medical marijuana program to increase the patient base at Curaleaf.

The Physician and Patient Outreach Coordinator collaborates with the management team and the Curaleaf peer group to develop, document and implement practices, policies, and strategies that support a performance and results-driven culture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Patient Consultative Services

Provides education consultations regarding medical cannabis strains and applications, effects and routes of delivery in the human system.

Handles new patient enrollment procedures and obtaining the appropriate documentation for the patient record.

Utilizes well-versed knowledge on all Cannabinoids and how they affect the body.

Retains thorough and comprehensive knowledge of patient and member benefits.

Maintains knowledge of the cannabis testing process, and why it benefits patients.

Assists with patient pain assessments with new patients and every 90 days thereafter.

Executes excellent, compassionate, and accurate patient services.

Responsible for orderly maintaining transactions during interactions with patients.

Participates dispensing and inventory counts as needed .

Maintain compliances with the Massachusetts Medical Marijuana Program rules and regulations.

Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Patient & Physician Outreach

E stablishes and maintains ongoing communications with registered physicians and/or their office staff, including routine or follow-up visits, emails, and phone calls

Develops and implements specific outreach, relationship building, and marketing plans to meet goals, in collaboration with President, MA.

Continuously coordinate and build upon the outreach calendar by participating in expositions, industry events, and speaking engagements to increase awareness with physicians, patients, and the community.

Documenting all outreach efforts and relationship status, maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of presentations, outreach efforts and always nurturing a “next step”

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

Demonstrates good organizational skills in the preparation of daily work schedules and the assignment of duties and responsibilities

Ability to efficiently and effectively manage multiple tasks

Ability to work in a fast paced, patient service oriented environment

Experience working with computer systems; proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

Experience in exercising judgement and discretion with sensitive, confidential information

Stays informed and knowledgeable about state and local laws, regulations and industry news

Good content writing skills

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to speak in front of small and large groups

Educational Requirements

AA Degree or equivalent work experience

2+ years of sales, account or relationship management experience

Physical Requirements

Work may require prolonged sitting/standing, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a cash register, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing. Requires close vision with the ability to see color and adjust focus. Requires lifting up to 30 pounds occasionally.
