Patient Educator

A unique opportunity to utilize your skills to help educate patients about how to integrate medical cannabis into their treatments for debilitating illnesses.

The Compassionate Cannabis Clinic in Venice, FL, is a revolutionary medical practice that evaluates and qualifies persons with debilitating illnesses for Florida's legal medical cannabis program. Founded by Dr. Barry Gordon and CEO Patrick DeLuca in January 2017, CCC has become the largest practice of its kind in the state.

Our three tenets of deliberate practice are:

• Patient Care
• Education
• Advocacy

As part of our clinical protocols, each patient is visited by a Patient Educator at the end of their encounter. For each patient seen by our practice, a Patient Educator:

• Reviews educational materials with patients
• Explains dosing protocols in more detail in relation to their specific conditions and unique concerns.
• Educates and informs the patient about legal Florida cannabis products' availability, price, discounts, and other dispensary-specific information.
• Answers product specific patient questions.
• Schedules follow up appointments.
• Answers phone calls from patients with questions.

We're looking for smart and cannabis savvy individuals with a unique ability to educate and teach patients about Florida's legal cannabis program.

Ideal candidates will possess:

• An educational, instructional, or retail sales background.
• General to advanced knowledge cannabis, including strains, Florida products, or the use of cannabis as a medicine to treat debilitating illness.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A pleasant, warm demeanor.
• The ability to thrive under pressure.
• Self motivation and initiative.
• Public speaking ability.
• Computer skills, specifically with G-Suite apps.
• A professional appearance.
• The desire to make a positive difference in the lives of sick people.

Additionally, applicants should desire to learn and grow within the practice. This position is full time and upon the completion of a 90-day probationary period, a raise will be given in accordance to performance and medical benefits will be offered.
