Packaging Technician

A San Jose cannabis manufacturer is looking for mature, responsible people to work in their warehouse to prepare and package cannabis products. This includes trimming flowers, packaging concentrates, filling cartridges, rolling joints, filling cones, applying labels, etc.

This position requires the following skills, experience, and attributes to qualify for the position:

• Must be at least 21 years old

• Must be willing and able to pass a screening interview and criminal background check with the San Jose Police Department

• Ability to sit for long periods of time and work with safely with small and often sharp tools on repetitive tasks that require careful attention to details and extreme care to prevent loss or damage to our client’s products

• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

• Ability to speak and understand basic English

The following are not required, but preferred:

• Experience trimming cannabis or packaging cannabis concentrates

• Experience working on an assembly line or in a manufacturing setting that required working with small parts, packaging small pieces or precise amounts

• Honorable discharge from the US military

The schedule for full-time processors is Monday through Friday. Part-time processors will either work a set schedule of up to 30 hours per week or on an as-needed basis, whichever suits their availability and the company’s needs at the time. This may include evenings and weekends.

Processors are paid $15 per hour to start, with the possibility of a raise after successfully completing 90 days of employment.
