The Outside Services & Grower Relations Manager serves as a liaison between California Olive Ranch (COR) and its grower partners, which includes; managing grower relationships, developing and implementing grower communication programs, evaluating grower orchards, communicating best practices and coordinating and managing the harvest and delivery of grower fruit to Mill. They will also be responsible for the management of the Outside Services program. This will include quoting growers with all aspects of Farm management including but now limited to Irrigation Scheduling, Fertilization, Machine Maintenance and coordination of activities through California Olive Ranch Field Operations Manager. The Outside Services & Grower Relations Manager will be responsible for all grower interaction for all activities and functions of Field Operations. Outside Services & Grower Relations Manager will be held accountable for any negligence’s committed on COR and Non COR properties.
- Managing the contractual relationship between COR and its grower partners.
- Communicating COR’s requirements and best practice to its grower community.
- Evaluating grower crops/performance and maintaining a data base related to crop attributes, production practices and grower performance.
- Coordinating the harvest and delivery of olives to the Mill and working across the organization to develop and execute the Annual Harvest Plan.
- Identifying and coordinating services that COR may provide to its grower community.
- Participating as a member of the Ag. Leadership Team to evaluate new Ranch and /or crop opportunities for COR.
- Responsible for the coordination and management of all aspects of field management on non COR properties.
- Set irrigation scheduling in accordance with defined farm management, and work closely with team to implement deficit irrigation strategies.
- Continue to implement and enforce all safety protocols set by the safety committee.
- Work with Field Operations Manager on analyzing and preparing field operations budgets.
- Review and analyze SOP’s and provide input and suggestions on how to make more efficient.
- Work with Finance and Field Operations Manager to develop, execute and manage the Outside Services Business Unit.
Qualifications
- Significant knowledge of Olive varieties and production practices related to Super High Density (SHD) Olive Orchards.
- A willingness to engage a broad range of stakeholders in order to build strong relationships.
- Proven listening and communications skills, both written and oral.
- A willingness to work long hours in a range of setting, field and office.
- Ability to read and understand company policies and procedures and implement appropriately.
- Assist in problem solving and in making this a more effective organization.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills including read and write the English language.
- Manage details of multiple projects in an efficient and organized method.
- Produce work in a timely, budgeted, scheduled and profitable manner for the Company.

- Bachelors of Science degree in an agriculture discipline
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work varying hours, some weekends, and varying schedules, when applicable.
