We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized full-time (40+ hrs/wk) outside salesperson who is familiar with cannabis products and has a desire to be part of an aggressive goal driven company. Primary goals

  • Identify and win new business
  • Assess needs and develop persuasive sales pitches that align with Retailer’s business requirements
  • Deliver effective sales calls, presentations and on-site meetings
  • Develop sales strategy and manage new leads all the way through to close
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to drive revenue
  • Promote and advocate Green Freedom brands and values
  • Increase number of retailers carrying Green Freedom products
  • Grow the overall sales volume within assigned territory

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships- Take a “hands on” approach to generating topline -- spending time “in the field” with our customers is necessary to meet goals
  • Optimize merchandising- Work with retailers to secure high visibility placement for products and displays
  • Activate in-store and promotional events- Coordinate and execute in-store consumer education events, and attend industry events
  • Execute promotions- coordinate with retail staff to develop and execute promotions
  • Gather market intelligence- Gather insight on the industry, identify and present opportunities for new products and brand extension, and build a holistic understanding of retailers in your territory
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge- Develop expert-level knowledge of our brands, products, and competitors
  • Elevate Green Freedom’s community profile- participating in relevant events, network within the industry and with ancillaries
  • Share the Green Freedom story- Deliver authentic and persuasive communications about our company and brands to retailers, consumers, and influencers

General

  • Always be on-time for training and event activation
  • Drug and alcohol free in the workplace, on calls, and when operating company vehicles - Green Freedom has a zero-tolerance policy for workplace consumption of any intoxicants
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Must have driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Respond to all external and internal communications in a timely fashion
  • Independently organize daily activities including meetings, phone calls, and account management
  • Act as brand ambassador
  • History of achieving quotas and developing new business
  • Travel as necessary to trade shows and industry events, on evenings and weekends as necessary
  • Provide weekly activity reports to management

Requirements

  • Willing to be a “road warrior” spending 80%+ traveling to meetings and in person sales calls
  • Knowledge of cannabis and/or the cannabis industry or ability to quickly learn
  • Prior outside sales experience
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience working in Salesforce or other CRM software
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and understand product level economics
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proven negotiation and closing proficiency
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Personable, articulate, self-motivated, and organized
  • Minimum of two professional references
  • Pass background check
