Your opportunity at a glance
The Licensing and Regulation Division of the WSLCB is announcing an entry-level Office Assistant 3 (OA3) position. Located in the Customer Service Unit, this position is the first point of contact for the agency's customers and the general public and will represent the agency's mission and goals in a positive manner and improve the division's efficiency. As the OA3, you will not only work the front desk reception area but will have the opportunity to work with the customer support unit by process of issue, refunds and withdraws for liquor and cannabis licenses as well as tracking, scanning and indexing documents for Licensing Specialists. Duties
Greet guests and answer the phone
Issue liquor and cannabis licenses.
Refund and withdraw licenses
Process incoming licensing documents received electronically and through the mail for work flow and record maintenance
Perform basic bookkeeping duties and help organize office activities
Scanning documents into Oracle and send Local Authority Notices
Filing license documents and floor plans
Qualifications

Required:
High school graduation or equivalent and two (2) years of clerical experience

Preferred/Desired:
Experience entering, modifying and retrieving data accurately from licensing databases
Experience with managing a large workload that involves deadlines, priority setting and multiple tasks
Ability to meet or exceed processing deadlines
Ability to operate a PC utilizing multiple windows applications.
Ability to multi-task, doing computer entry, and analyzing documents at the same time
Ability to communicate orally and in writing with customers in a way that communicates a positive attitude through verbal and nonverbal language
Ability to demonstrate interest, sincerity, and openness in all interactions with customers (internal and external)
Ability to create consistently positive experiences for all customers
Ability to project confidence and respect for all customers
Ability to work cooperatively with others to problem-solve and deliver excellent customer

    RCW 69.50.351, no member of the state liquor and cannabis board and no employee of the state liquor and cannabis board shall have any interest, directly or indirectly, in the producing, processing, or sale of marijuana, useable marijuana, or marijuana-infused products, or derive any profit or remuneration from the sale of marijuana, useable marijuana, or marijuana-infused products other than the salary or wages payable to him or her in respect of his or her office or position, and shall receive no gratuity from any person in connection with the business.

    As a condition of employment, the candidate accepting this position will be required to comply with the Union Security clause contained in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the State of Washington and the union. This means that, as a condition of employment the candidate must either join the union and pay union dues, or pay the union a representational or other fee within 30 days of the date you are put into pay status.
