Role: Northern California Market Manager

Reports to: VP of Sales

QIND is a direct selling platform for the in-home purchase and delivery of cannabis products.

Using a trusted retail platform that includes in-home educational events, a robust e-commerce site, and subscription services, QIND provides mainstream cannabis consumers with a high-touch and personal retail shopping experience that does not exist in the market today. The Basics:

We're looking for an amazing individual for a Market Manager position in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The QIND Market Manager is responsible for QIND revenue within a geographic region. She or he will integrate themselves within local communities, researching and prioritizing prospects, attending and hosting local events, building and tracking outreach programs, and facilitate a team of QIND ambassadors to execute QIND parties that exceed funnel metrics.

This is a metrics-driven position, responsible for hitting monthly and quarterly goals, and compensated accordingly. Responsible for sales volume in a geographic territory, the Market Manager’s primary responsibilities include:

  • Host Acquisition
  • Create, build and manage programs and partnerships that result in the sign up of QIND Hosts
  • Execute QIND educational events (presentations) both at in-home parties and in partnership with other organizations in order to solicit in-home parties
  • Ambassador Program Management
  • QIND’s ambassador program offers a way for cannabis advocates to share their passion with others. QIND Ambassadors get certified to execute QIND parties are compensated based on executing in-home parties, scheduling new parties and finding new ambassadors
  • Market Managers are responsible for recruiting, training and managing QIND Ambassadors within their geographic region

What You’ll Do:

  • Creatively identify and source leads, figuring out the highest value targets
  • Research prospects in targeted markets
  • Speak to potential partners to understand their unique challenges and goals
  • Effectively pitch why businesses should consider partnering with QIND
  • Knowledgeably discuss key trends in the market
  • Attend and host networking and other marketing events
  • Recruit, manage and train a team of ambassadors to achieve weekly individual goals

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 3+ years of a proven track record of meeting sales goals, comfortable with a quota and metrics-driven objectives, experience selling to small and mid-sized business and or channel sales and business to consumer sales a plus
  • From a cocktail party to phone call to and in-person senior roundtable networking, you’re able to hold an intelligent and persuasive discussion with prospects
  • Team lead and or leadership experience directly managing a team (1-year minimum)
  • Ability to work proactively, independently, and reliably under tight time frames in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to write emails clearly and discuss complex topics simply with our potential partners
  • Capability to learn our market, our business, our culture, and foster a spirit of learning and continuous development in others
  • Experience recording weekly activity, Salesforce experience a plus
  • Education — BA/BS required
