Summary
The Assistant Manager, Production ensures that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently by planning and organizing production schedules and resource requirements. Ensures manufacturing performance, volume and quality goals are met. He/She is responsible for managing all production processes while adhering to company policy, OSHA and various industry regulations Must gain extensive knowledge of department processes. Assistant Manager, Production is also responsible for overseeing and managing staff assigned to his/her area(s) of responsibility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a friendly, courteous, and compassionate demeanor
- Adhere to company mission statement and core values, while maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism
- Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met, while upholding industry and company standards
- He/She is responsible for managing all production processes while adhering to company policy, OSHA and various industry regulations
- Responsible for employee relations, production and management – disciplines and acknowledges employees appropriately
- Displays knowledge, leadership and guidance to all Production employees
- Promote employee and manager relations
- Enforce health and safety precautions
- Approves maintenance work on equipment
- Responsible for executing lean manufacturing practices
- Establish, develop, and implement MIP Standard Operating Procedures
- Coordinate and develop strategy meetings
- Collaborate with and act as liaison to the MIP Technical Writer
- Ensure cross-functional alignment on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- All other job duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education
- High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required
Training
- Must maintain current knowledge and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED); Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and TGS Management

- Must be able to individually lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach and lift for long periods of time

Work Requirements
- Must be able to work in kitchen or manufacturing production facilities with moderate to loud noise level and changing working conditions.
- May require use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as needed
- Must have or be able to acquire MED Key badge ($250 Fee to State of CO) prior to beginning employment
